  Our visit to Mongrel Creek Vineyard sums up everything I love about the 'Cellar Door' experience. The owner himself served us in this non-pretentious boutique winery & was not only knowledgeable about his wines but was friendly & ready to offer guidance & advice about the area. And the wines themselves? Probably the best I had tasted in the five days we spent in the area!

  Easily the most delicious meal and most enjoyable restaurant experience that I can recall. We were made to feel very welcome when the door was opened and we were invited in and greeted warmly - what a great first impression! Warm, down to earth, friendly and helpful service ensued and the food was amazing. Restaurant was fully booked but service and food quality did not suffer. Staff were extremely pleasant and knowledge and were happy to advise us on the pairing of wine with certain dishes, on request, even offering a tasting of two reds before deciding. Will not hesitate to return, I hear the breakfast is equally as good!!
